Discussing Prototypes

In todays lesson we discussed what a prototype is and why we are going to create on prior to our production. A Prototype is a very early version of something that tests out a concept. In our case it would be preparing us  for our music video, testing the effectiveness of our shots. The closer our prototype is to our actual music video set the better it is for interpreting our real thing. Creating this will help us analyse if the sets go well together, if the costumes work with the sets and if the performer fits our theme. It will also help us see if our individual elements are coherent with each other  and if we have gathered enough content for the duration of our song.

To begin with, I looked back on my story board of images and sorted through them,  choosing our favourite ones we would like to recreate:

We would have this shot as an idea to link all of our other shots together. This would act as a setting shot, presenting the faint colour of all of our next sets that would be edited into each window and zoomed into and presented full screen.

I then went and collected our shots more finalised ideas, showing the sets off and what sort of colours we would be using.
